An interactive installation responding to sound and movement, presented with live performance by visually impaired musicians — asking how a sense that cannot be seen builds a space.소리와 움직임에 반응하는 인터랙티브 설치. 시각장애인 음악가의 라이브 연주와 함께, 보이지 않는 감각이 공간을 구성하는 방식을 묻는다.
An interactive installation presented at Coexistence, run by the Bucheon Branch of the Gyeonggi Association of the Visually Impaired and hosted by Gyeonggi Province and Fantasia Bucheon as part of its 2022 disability arts programme. The exhibition carried the subtitle "existing together by helping one another", and the poster set braille beneath its title.
The work responds to sound, movement, and the presence of visitors, turning them into visual change. Sound here is not background but an agent that moves the space and generates image. Live performance by visually impaired musicians entered into real-time relation with the work, revealing how a sense that cannot be seen constructs a space and reaches others.
Taking "not every disability is visible" as its motto, the exhibition treated the line between disabled and non-disabled not as a fixed division but as a place where different modes of perception meet to make a single scene.
경기도시각장애인연합회 부천시지회가 주관하고 경기도·판타지아 부천이 주최한 2022년 장애인 문화예술 진흥사업 《공존》에 인터랙티브 설치로 참여했다. 전시 부제는 "서로 도와서 함께 존재하는"이었고, 포스터의 제호 아래에는 점자가 함께 찍혀 있었다.
작품은 전시장에서 발생하는 소리와 움직임, 관객의 존재에 반응하며 시각적 변화를 만든다. 여기서 소리는 배경이 아니라 공간을 움직이고 이미지를 발생시키는 주체다. 시각장애인 음악가의 라이브 연주가 작품과 실시간으로 관계를 맺으며, 보이지 않는 감각이 어떻게 공간을 구성하고 타인에게 전달되는지를 드러낸다.
전시는 "not every disability is visible"을 모토로 삼아, 장애와 비장애의 경계를 고정된 구분으로 다루기보다 서로 다른 감각의 방식들이 만나 하나의 장면을 만드는 순간에 주목했다.
